The CFB Kingston Eco-Team believes that every building occupant plays a role in achieving energy efficiency and reducing the environmental footprint of facilities. Here are just some of our few tips on how you can contribute to reducing energy consumption and GHG emissions at home and at work:

  • Replace your lightbulbs with LED technologies!
  • Remember to turn off the lights when you leave a room or area empty!
  • Set thermostat schedules and avoiding changing the temperature manually!
  • Turn off the tap when not using the water!
  • Install water-efficient faucets and showerheads!
  • Check if your windows are well sealed for the winter!
  • Turn off your computer when you don’t use it!
  • Buy Certified Energy Star® certified electronics and appliances!
  • Choose alternative transportation such as carpooling, cycling and walking whenever possible!
