DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENCE INITIATIVES

The Department of National Defence (DND) has strong initiatives to oversee the infrastructure and energy efficiency improvements for the CFB Kingston base.

DND is looking to increase opportunities for engagement and education around energy efficiency and awareness and to enhance the quality of life for soldiers, their families and community members. This will help the reduction of the carbon footprint to help Canada come closer to achieving the 2040/2050 GHG reductions as well as help create innovation and research into different sustainability metrics revolving around Net Zero.
